Hello bloggers

After many doctor appointments, blood work, SA, Sonograms, biopsies, and of course, peeing on sticks, fertility dolls, trying and unsuccessfully meditating, praying, and finally finding the reason why my husband and I are not fertile, we are heading on our Journey with  IVF ICSI.  Here we go!! Hold on tight!!!

So here I wait for my next period to start..sometime February 10. I have never in my life been excited to get my period. But yes...I am counting down the days..19 more days. WOW! Writing that down just made it so much more real. breathing..give me a minute.!!

Okay..almost crying here..yep the tears are here! Damn it. This has been such a hard journey. I feel like I have been trying to keep my head afloat this whole time. I try not to be so dramatic, but this has been hard on me, on my relationship with my husband, with trying to keep professional at work, and painfully losing my control with my body in doctor's offices. Again, I have to give credit where credit is due. Thanks to this blog world. So many of you help me feel so not alone. Some of you...well a lot of you have given me strength.

I do not want to leave this post with just this.Ii want to say also that I have the most wonderful, patient husband. without him..I would be  even more of a hot mess. In 2010 we found out we were infertile. It was a tough year with lots of fights. But when we look back..yes..we will think of the hard times. But with the hard times, there were many good times, like our trip to Maui where we snorkeled and read our favorite books on the sandy beaches, and ate lots of pineapple and fish, and drank coconut pina colodas! We also went to Yosemite and South Lake Tahoe. So we had some really amazing times..but within that time..were so dark times. Through this challenge in our life..I am learning to find a balance in life. And I know I am learning and growing as a person through this hard situation.

I look forward to commenting on many of your blogs and sharing my story with you.
As the Stirrup Queen says, "Blogging is a conversation and comments should be honoured and encouraged. I like to say that comments are the new hug–a way of saying hello, giving comfort, leaving congratulations."

actually..I would love to know about you...so if you want please have fun answering some questions...

  4. Hi there-

welcome to blogging! Here's my details:

No kids, been trying 1+ year. 4 unsuccessful IUIs with clomid. Taking a month off, finding a new RE.

My blog is mainly about the fun I have in the fertility game: http://goteambaby.blogspot.com/

To make myself happy I work more than I should, run, do yoga, and read. I watch way too much Real Housewives of any city.

I've been listening to a LOT of Howard Stern lately! I just got a new car, and I received a year's free subscription to Sirius. I don't drive that much as I work from home. On my iPod you'll find Earth Wind and Fire, Rhianna, Phoenix, and Lady Gaga.

  9. Good luck! I never am excited to get my period except when I'm gearing up for a cycle, go figure! Kind of like BCP's when you're getting ready for an IVF cycle, just seems contralateral.

I have one child-a 4 year old son, an IVF/ICSI miracle. We conceived him on our first cycle, had a cycle in between with all abnormal embies, and now we are starting cycle 3, and most likely our final cycle. After our second cycle, we were moving onto adoption, but our insurance changed and we've been given another chance.

Our blog is called "Our Little Family's Journey" and is at http://ourlittlefamilysjourney.blogspot.com ...stop by sometime!

I am watching alot of TV to try and keep my mind off of the "what-if's" of our cycle. I am also crocheting a blanket for my son with colors he chose, however, I'm seriously debating taking it apart (I am halfway done) because one side of it is looking funny. I'm a perfectionist, type A, and it's really grating on my nerves.

On the radio, I listen to a mix, mostly new pop songs.

Oh, and no kids.

  16. Hi! Found you on the ICLW list. Just wanted to pop in and say that I totally understand the excitement over starting your cycle. We are pursuing IVF w/ICSI and I just got AF yesterday. I came out of the bathroom fist pumping (think Jersey Shore) and was so excited. It looks like I'm a little ahead of you, but I'll happily follow your journey and invite you to follow mine if you'd like to hear what's ahead! :)

I am going through my first IVF and I just had my extraction on Friday. Boy that was an experience. All the shots and medications for a 15 minute procedure! I was sore for about 3 days but feeling good today. I was suppose to have my implant on Wednesday, but it has been pushed back til next cycle because my LH Levels were too low. So I know how you feel about getting excited for your period! ha

  21. Hi there...
I'm here from ICLW. Adding you to Reader so I can follow along with your journey. I hope that you'll be getting your BFP very soon!

    1) I have PCOS and "hostile" CM, DH has low motility. Those things together led to our RE recommending we go directly to IUI. We were blessed with a BFP on our second IUI cycle and are now smack-dab in the middle of raising a toddler.

    2) My blog is just about life in general. I ramble about whatever is on my mind at the time. The name is One Wheeler's World.

    3) I'm pursuing my passion for photography, trying to get back into scrapbooking, spending as much time as possible with my two guys, and just trying to savor every minute of each day.

    4) Actually, there's usually no music on in the car (I know...WHAT?).

  22. Good Luck with your upcoming IVF, it is a very exciting time!!!

    As for your questions
    1) What is your story..do you have kids, still trying, what stage of Art(Assisted reproductive technology) are you in?

I am currently 15 weeks pregnant with my first. Baby Mo, as we refer to it, was conceived during IVF #2, our diagnosis is bilateral blocked fallopian tubes due to ovarian cysts. Right now I am struggling with all the emotions that come along with being pregnant after battling Infertility for 4 years.

    2) What is your blog about if you have one? and the name?
My blog is The Rocky Road To Motherhood, is my journey through Infertility to becoming a mom, and the life that happens along the way.

    3) What are you doing to make yourself happy right now..hobbies, family, friends, tv shows? Lots of resting, spending time with friends and family and my Yoga and meditation.

    4) What are you listening to in your car lately?
Talk radio, I am so emotional that listing to music makes me cry.
